Project SEARCH in 2018

posted Jan 23, 2018, 5:47 AM by Chris Cooney

The second semester of Project SEARCH picks up again on Wednesday, January 31.  This seminar features Professor Jim Connell speaking to students about nuclear energy. This visit will also find students coming home with a FREE long sleeved T-shirt with the winning design they voted on back in November.

  • On February 14 students will be discussing anxiety with Lynn Lyons, a mental health practitioner.
  • On March 7, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) visits us with some timely and relevant discussions about being inclusive!
  • On March 21, Mike Francis arrives in full costume to relive the history of Galileo.  Throughout the presentation audience members will be actively involved in experiments and demonstrations. After the lecture, "Galileo" answers questions about his experiments, his life and his times.
  • Our last UNH seminar, April 4, will involve a lively debate between some local Newmarket speakers who study Intelligent Design and the UNH science community that teaches the Theory of Evolution.
  • On April 11, SEARCH members with excellent attendance are invited to travel to a Boston field trip to see Shear Madness at the Charles Playhouse.  This is an all day field trip that culminates with a great Boston ad-lib play that has filled the house for many many years!
